La Antenaという名前は、農園の前に携帯電話のアンテナがあることに由来しています。少しユニークな名前ですが、その背景には、ホンジュラス西部コパン県、サン・ペドロ・コパンのカプカス地域で丁寧に育てられているコーヒーがあります。

この農園を運営するOrigenes Coffeeは、2012年よりこの地域でコーヒー生産を開始しました。トレーサビリティを大切にしながら、品質の安定と農園管理に力を入れています。

La Antena農園について

今回ご紹介するLa Antena農園のコーヒーは、品種がカトゥアイ、精製はウォッシュト。標高1,514mから1,594mの高地で栽培されています。

カップの印象は、やわらかな甘さと穏やかな酸。ウォッシュトらしいクリーンな後味の中に、ほのかに杉を思わせるような清涼感も感じられます。

派手な果実感で押してくるというより、静かに整った味わいと、落ち着いた余韻が魅力のコーヒーです。

環境への取り組み

Origenes Coffeeでは、自然環境への配慮も大切にされています。

農園内にはインガ、グアバ、杉、マホガニー、柑橘類、バナナなど、さまざまな樹木が植えられ、日陰を活かした栽培が行われています。

さらに、水処理システムを導入し、コーヒーの果肉を有機肥料として活用するなど、農園内の資源を循環させる取り組みも行われています。

We are pleased to introduce a new coffee from La Antena Farm in Honduras.

The name “La Antena” comes from the mobile phone antenna located in front of the farm. It is a unique name, but behind it is a carefully managed coffee farm in the Capucas area of San Pedro Copán, in western Honduras.

La Antena Farm is operated by Origenes Coffee, which began producing coffee in this region in 2012. The farm places great importance on traceability and consistent quality through careful agricultural management.

About La Antena Farm

This coffee is Catuai, processed by the washed method, and grown at an altitude of 1,514 to 1,594 meters above sea level.

In the cup, it offers gentle sweetness and mild acidity, with a clean finish typical of washed coffees. There is also a subtle freshness that reminds us of cedar.

Rather than a coffee driven by flashy fruitiness, this lot has a quiet, well-balanced character with a calm and elegant aftertaste.

Environmental Approach

Origenes Coffee also values environmental care and the preservation of natural resources.

The farm uses a variety of shade trees, including inga, guava, cedar, mahogany, citrus trees, pineapple, and banana plants. These trees help create a diverse and balanced growing environment.

The farm has also introduced a water treatment system and reuses coffee pulp as organic fertilizer, helping to circulate resources within the farm.
